Ultra Enterprises Raw Thyroid 200 mg. is freeze-dried glandular content. The Thyroid Gland is one of the most significant of the endocrine glands which produces secretions that regulate many basic processes of the body. It lies in the front part of the throat along the windpipe. The thyroid gland controls how quickly the body uses energy, makes proteins, and controls how sensitive the body should be to other hormones. It participates in these processes by producing thyroid hormones. These hormones regulate the rate of metabolism and affect the growth and rate of function of many other systems in the body and are synthesized from both iodine and tyrosine. The thyroid also produces calcitonin, which plays a role in calcium homeostasis. Raw Thyroid 200 mg. contains no yeast, soy, starch, wheat, gluten, rye, rice, corn, dairy products, preservatives or artificial colors.
