Children love to snack! But, they don't always snack the right food. Foods high in sugar, salt or fat that improve the taste in foods aren't healthy to be eaten on a regular basis. Healthychildren.org found that most children eat at least one snack per day.
To make snack time a healthy one, do these when you're out shopping:
- Pick fruits and vegetables.
- Avoid processed foods that contain added sugars and salt.
