May 15 is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to make great tasting cookies!
In 1938, an American chef named Ruth Graves Wakefield came up with the idea of adding morsels of chocolate to make the first chocolate chip cookie.Lo and behold, her culinary invention became a sensational hit and for years to come her chocolate chip cookie is still hugely popular.
This National Chocolate Chip Day, we are reminded how an ingredient like chocolate can make a huge difference. Surprisingly all it took was a bit of imagination and some pieces of chocolate sweetness baked in the cookie.
