Description
Roberts Research Laboratories Arnica Gel is a natural pain rub for bruises and muscle soreness. Arnica Montana is a mountain plant found in the northwest region of the U.S. It is indicated as a superb rub for muscle soreness and bruises by speeding up the body's natural healing process. Arnica Gel is non-greasy and quickly absorbed by the skin. Arnica montana is the primary remedy for new, traumatic injuries—including bruises caused by impact with blunt objects (from simple contusions to concussions), early stages of sprains and strains, and bruise-like soreness after muscular exertion (such as physically-taxing work, or athletics). The symptoms typically feel worse from touch and motion. Arnica is also helpful for controlling soreness, bleeding, and tissue-bruising related to surgery and dental work.
Some athletes say that arnica helps reduce the pain and accelerate the healing of sports injuries, such as bruises, strains, and sprains. Advocates say that Arnica is very useful in the early stages of an injury when there is swelling.
Arnica can be used prior to and immediately after a demanding athletic event (e.g., a marathon) to prevent post-workout soreness. While "weekend warriors" may benefit from arnica, they should not use it routinely in lieu of adequate training and stretching; overuse of arnica can cause it to lose its effectiveness or cause side effects such as pain and soreness.
