Children's Vitamins
If your child is growing normally, multivitamins aren't always necessary. Eating regular meals often provide nutrients most preschoolers need as many foods have been fortified with vitamins and minerals.
The nutritional requirements in children are different than those in adult. Depending on their diet, amount of intake of certain foods, and growth needs, children could use a daily supplemental vitamin.
It's always a good idea to talk with your doctor if you have concerns about your child requiring a particular vitamin or mineral because children can have a different set of challenges in order to meet their needs. These children may have a delay in physical growth, has certain disease or food allergy, or restrictive diet that more often than not, a daily multivitamin will be more helpful.
